About the centre

Prospero Teaching have an exciting opportunity for a Room Leader to join a well-established privately run & family owned centre located in Paddington / Centennial Park. This small setting is delivered from a beautiful federation home and provides a real sense of community and belonging for all children, families and team members.

The centre are looking to engage passionate Toddler Room Leader to join the team on a full-time basis (10 hr x 4 days or 8 hr x 5days).  Duties will include:

• Develop and implement a curriculum for toddlers
• Lead and guide a small team of educators
• Plan and organize age-appropriate activities
• Monitor children’s progress and behaviour, and communicate with parents
• Encourage positive social interactions and conflict resolution
• Create a nurturing environment and build relationships with children and families
• Ensure cleanliness and safety in the toddler room
• Attend training and professional development opportunities

You must 

• Be residing in Australia and hold a valid VISA
• Diploma in ECE (or an ACECQA equivalent)
• Knowledge of the EYLF and National Quality standards
• First aid / CPR / Asthma and Anaphylaxis training and current certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Current Working with Children Check
• Current child protection training
• Two professional references
