Early Childhood Room Leader
Prospero Teaching is working with an Early Childhood Centre in Burwood NSW who are looking to appoint an experienced Early Childhood Educator or Teacher for their Nursery room working with children from ages 0 – 2.
What they are looking
- MUST be able to speak Mandarin
- Diploma or Early Childhood Teacher qualified
- Bachelor Qualified
- Full time or Part time – 4 days a week minimum
- Candidates who have a minimum 6 months to one years’ experience as an Early Childhood Teacher
- Committed Early Childhood Educator or Teacher who is looking to be part of a fantastic team of educators and management as a room leader.
About the Centre:
- 900m walking distance from Burwood Station.
- New Centre with only approximately 5 – 7 babies at the moment.
- Close management support – issues are heard and resolved in an open and constructive manner.
- Professional Development training offered
- Uniforms Supplied
- RDO’s model available – 1 day RDO every 2 weeks. RDO’s can be saved up and used with annual leave. If RDO’s are saved, it gives an extra 1 month of RDO’s off per year, plus another 1 month of annual leave.
- We are looking for someone with a positive attitude who is willing to learn and grow with our centre, our team and our community.
- Available full time – 5 days and able to cover all shifts i.e. open shift and close shift. Shifts rotate.
- Parking available at the centre, large car park

- Long standing team with average of 5 years working with the Centre
Skills and Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor qualified.
- Applicants who can work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Work passionately to develop positive relationships with families and children and contribute to a positive working environment.
- You will be passionate about promoting children’s development and their learning.
- Strong knowledge of The Early Years Learning Framework, Assessment and Quality Rating Process, National Quality Standards and National Law and Regulations
- Strong leadership skills
- Strong knowledge of the NSW Child Safe Standards
- Excellent personal presentation
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Early Childhood qualifications – Diploma or Bachelor in Early Childhood Education.
- Working rights in Australia
- Valid working with children check.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Standards and Education and Care Services National Regulation
- Provide a minimum of two professional references (One from your most recent employer)
