About the centre

Prospero Teaching have an exciting opportunity for an Early Childhood Educator to join a fantastic service located in Belmore. The centre is a 58 place catering for children from 6 weeks to 6 years old to the local community of Belmore, Campsie, Lakemba and all surrounding suburbs. The centres aim is to create an engaging physical environment and provide activities based on children’s interests. It is important to the service to work in partnership with families to share a clear understanding of expectations, and to ensure the experiences planned for children are meaningful and individualised.

The centre are seeking a passionate educator to support in their Baby Room with the opportunity to take on the role as Room Leader and/or 2IC if desired. If you are a newly qualified educator or experienced within the field, this position is for you! As part of the Team, you will feel appreciated, valued and enjoy a truly supportive and fun work environment.

Skills and Experience 

• Be passionate about promoting children’s development and their learning
• Be a nurturing, caring and enthusiastic individual
• Effectively perform responsibilities of an Early Childhood Educator within NSW
• Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards or willingness to learn from educators

You must  

• Currently residing in Australia and hold a valid VISA
• Bachelor in Early Childhood Teaching or Diploma/Cert 3 in ECE (or an ACECQA equivalent)
• Knowledge of the EYLF and National Quality standards
• First aid / CPR / Asthma and Anaphylaxis training and current certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Current Working with Children Check
• Current child protection training
