About the role

Prospero Teaching are seeking an experienced and passionate educator to work within the Tadpoles Room with children aged 0 – 1. We are looking for someone who has a calm and nurturing temperament to work alongside a small team. Main responsibilities will include:

• Creating a safe and nurturing environment: Ensuring that the room is clean, organised, and free from hazards.
• Developing and implementing age-appropriate curriculum: This may include sensory play, art and crafts, language development exercises, storytelling, and structured play.
• Facilitating learning and play: Creating an engaging and stimulating environment that encourages exploration and fosters curiosity.
• Providing care and support: Assisting children with their basic needs, such as feeding, diapering, and toileting. Helping them develop independence, self-help skills, and personal hygiene routines, such as handwashing.

About You

• Currently residing in Australia and hold a valid VISA with working rights
• Diploma in ECE (or an ACECQA equivalent)
• First aid / CPR / Child protection / Asthma and Anaphylaxis training and current certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Current Working with Children Check
• Experience working in the Baby Room is highly desired
• 2 professional references from most recent employer
