This 71 place centre is designed to provide a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for young children. The picturesque setting allows for plenty of natural light to flood in through the beautiful big windows, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
About the role
Prospero Teaching are seeking a passionate Director to deliver excellent leadership a brand new centre opening in Picton. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations, including overseeing the team of dedicated educators, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards, and nurturing strong relationships with families and the community.
- Developing and maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for children
- Hiring, training, and supervising staff members
- Creating and implementing curriculum and educational programs
- Maintaining communication with parents and families
- Managing budgets and financial resources
- Maintaining licensing and regulatory compliance
- Collaborating with community organisations and partners
- Conducting regular assessments and evaluations to ensure quality improvement
- Resolving conflicts or issues that may arise within the centre
Skills and Experience
- Excellent organisational and management skills are essential
- Experience in developing the QIP, fee charging, enrolments of children (or willingness to learn)
- Strong understanding and ensuring compliance with licensing requirements, health and safety regulations
- Must be able to communicate clearly and efficiently with staff, parents, and children, as well as actively listen to concerns and feedback
- Knowledge of financial management principles, including creating and managing budgets, forecasting expenses, and ensuring the centres financial sustainability
- Previous Director experience is highly desirable

You must
- Be a resident of Australia with full working rights
- Hold a bachelor’s degree, Diploma in early childhood education (OR ACECQA equivalent)
- Experience in Director or Nominated Supervisor role is highly desirable
- Current approved first aid, anaphylaxis and asthma qualifications
- Current Employment Working with Children Check
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Two professional references
