Job description
Prospero Teaching are seeking a dedicated School Counsellor to join one of our partner schools’ Wellbeing Teams, commencing in Term 3 or Term 4 of 2024.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide counselling support to students experiencing mental health, developmental, and other learning or wellbeing issues.
- Collaborate with staff and parents to address students’ needs.
- Develop and implement programs that enhance student wellbeing.
- Manage a large and diverse caseload effectively.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Full registration as a psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), with a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a psychologist.
- Demonstrated experience working with children and adolescents.
- Proven ability to manage a large and diverse caseload.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate with a diverse team and work independently.
