The great thing about the Australian education system is that it’s very decentralized. So, each state implements its own salary award for teachers depending on experience and qualifications. NSW Teacher Salary

New South Wales is Australia’s most populated state and typically gets a good supply of candidates for any teaching related positions. The NSW teacher salary reflects this by being relatively average in comparison to other states.

• To move from a ‘Band 1’ to a ‘Band 2’ you need to teach for 406 days and need to complete accreditation which you submit to NESA.
• To get to Band 3 from 2.3; you need to complete ‘Highly Accomplished Accreditation‘.
